Charlie & Serena Engagement.

Last Saturday I had the opportunity of shooting Charlie and Serena's engagement photos...not only are they super funny and stylish, but apparently they are secretly models! They made it so easy to take pictures of them and I am in love with their photos! Hopefully they feel the same way! Can't wait until the wedding...here are a few to tide you over.

This abandoned church was in a Ghost Town book Serena has and when we arrived I knew it was the perfect place. The long drive was worth it..and I might have to keep the location a secret because it's a diamond in the rough! :)

One of the coolest parts of the wardrobe changes (4 in total I think!) was this dress. Serena's mother actually wore it when she had engagement photos taken many years ago! A treasure found in her mom's closet for sure! Love it! Isn't she stunning?!

More to come...be patient!

Babyfest 2011.

My best friend Nicole and my close friend Jamie Ronning had babies less then 24 hours apart...I would call this a Babyfest...so I had the opportunity to take photos of both babies in one weekend! Lucky me! I was amazed at how good they were even when only wearing a diaper...they worked the camera for sure! Here are a few of my faves. enjoy.

First up: Gabriel Dylan Fuller. Born November 16, 2010 @ 11:14pm.

Next up: Matthias David Ronning. Born November 15, 2010 @ 11:41pm. (I'm pretty sure that's the right time!)

Surprise Engagement.

A new year brings fresh opportunities and new beginnings. I had the opportunity of helping my new friend Nate start his year off right...by proposing to his girlfriend Melissa on New Year's Eve! Melissa had been wanting to visit the Pittock Mansion for quite sometime and she had also been wanting couple pictures of her and Nate. She had no idea that she would get all of that and then some in one day!
Nate told her they were going to the Keith Sweat concert and that she needed to dress nice...but instead he brought her to the Pittock Mansion where they met up with me. That's when she found out they were going to take some couple pictures. We strolled around the mansion and took a few pics...

After enduring the freezing temperatures outside we went back inside to look around a bit more. Nate gave me the signal he was ready and we started to walk back up the main stairs of the mansion. We were going to take "one last picture" on the platform between staircases so I went to the top to get a bird's eye view. I gave him the thumbs up and that's when he got down on his knee and asked her to marry him...She said YES! The last few people in the mansion were clapping and cheering and you can see by the photos Nate was so happy and Melissa was SO surprised!! Congratulations Nate and Melissa!

Rita and Steve's Wedding

In mid-October I went down to Sedona, Arizona for Rita's wedding. For those of you who don't know who Rita is, she was my roomie for about a year and a half in Portland. One of the original SoeBro ladies! I was so excited to be at her wedding because I hadn't seen her since she moved to Texas. (side note: all my exes live in Texas, that's why I hang my hat in Tennessee). Anyways. We went out for pedicures, manicures, massages, the works! It was so relaxing! A real girls weekend..well until she got hitched to a boy at the end! I ended up being her hair dresser, photographer and a bridesmaid! It was the first time I have ever taken pictures from the front as a bridesmaid! She didn't mind and the groom had no idea I was even taking pictures while standing two feet away! I pat myself on the back for that one! It was a fantastic weekend filled with new friends, old friends, laughter, dancing and wedded bliss! Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure!

#3: Visit my brother in Colorado.

I told my brother for 4 years that I would visit him in Colorado and I finally did it! April 22nd I flew down to CO and hung out with Neal and his GF Laura and another friend, Nate, in Fort Collins. It was a great time catching up on life and seeing a little bit of the state! Already planning my next trip...hopefully at the end of the summer! Here's a few pics!

#16: See The Portland Cello Project Perform

So as usual I am horrible at updating my blog and I'm sure my five followers are just dying to know how my list is going!ha!

Number 16 on my list was to see The Portland Cello Project in concert. For my birthday back in January my friends Katy and Jamie said they would take me to see PCP live in March and that is exactly what we did! They played at McMenamin's Kennedy School and it was FREE! I couldn't believe that we got to see such an amazing concert for free! What a blessing!
